Dingle is the most westerly location in County Kerry, hidden between Mount Brandon, Slieve Mish and Caherconree mountains.
It is a cultural and fishing town, has much to offer from bespoke restaurants, artisan coffee shops, dance performances and plays in the Wave theatre to live music sessions in St. James Church. The church has been host to the music related television program Other Voices for over 10 years. This vibrant town has a Portuguese and Spanish influence dating to the 16th Century, when local fishermen exported their fish, and still do to this day.
Some famous names such as Amy Winehouse, Hozier, Sinead O’ Connor, Glen Hansard, the Foo Fighters, Damien Dempsey, Lisa Hannigan, Florence & The Machine and Snow Patrol all sang in St. James Church.
Dingle has some of the most breathtaking scenery in County Kerry, overlooking Dingle Bay, along the 47km Slea Head drive on the Dingle Peninsula. Well known movies were filmed on Slea Head including Far and Away, Ryans Daughter and Star Wars. The Last Jedi crew shot scenes at Dunmore Head overlooking the Blasket Islands.
You will see the rugged coastline, red and blue painted, black faced sheep, an island resembling a giant man, round stone beehive huts, small golden beaches, baby lambs available for hugs, limestone walls and the thatch roof famine cottages.
Dingle town has multi-coloured shop fronts, pubs divided into hardware & grocery stores, award-winning art galleries, pottery shops, Celtic jewellery shops and ice cream parlours.
The Gaeltacht is a very important location on the Dingle peninsula, which is also called Corca Dhuibhne, an area west of Dingle town. It is home to towns such as Ballyferriter and Ballydavid where the locals speak fluent Irish.

Drive out west to the beautiful Slea Head, view the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by the Slieve Mish Mountains and Mount Brandon.

Pause for a photo at the spectacular Inch beach where surfing is very popular during the summer months.
